For a firmer you, ask for Sculptra®
Sculptra® activates the skins ability to produce collagen1. It renews skin thickness and firmness, correcting shallow to deep wrinkles and folds2. Sculptra® works gradually to build the foundations of a youthful, firmer you, day after day3.
Why Sculptra®?
Sculptra® activates the skin’s ability to produce collagen, restoring the skin’s structure and firmness4. Collagen is a fibrous protein in the deeper layers of your skin and it plays a crucial role in keeping your skin looking young and healthy. As you age, your body’s collagen production decreases which in time leads to loose and saggy skin and the formation of facial wrinkles and folds5.
Sculptra®, the original collagen stimulator, helps renew your skin gradually with long-lasting results6. Sculptra® can provide more radiant-looking skin over time, giving you natural-looking results.
Treatment areas
The Sculptra® collagen skin renewal treatment rejuvenates sagging skin by increasing volume and firmness7. Sculptra® helps gradually diminish smile lines (nasolabial folds), laugh lines (or marionette lines) and wrinkles to help give you firm and radiant-looking skin. Results may last for up to two years8. Sculptra® can help you achieve the look you desire.
According to a clinical study9, 80% of users were still satisfied with their Sculptra® collagen stimulators treatment up to 25 months after their last injection.
Your Sculptra® treatment
Sculptra® is injected in the deep layers of your skin to stimulate its own collagen production10. You will gradually notice visible improvements of skin firmness and fullness, with results that can last up to two years11. On average, three Sculptra® treatment sessions are needed over a few months. Your doctor will work with you to determine the number of treatments needed to help achieve the look you want.
Sculptra® works subtly, improving facial areas gradually to help give you youthful and natural-looking results.
How it works
The active ingredient in Sculptra® is poly-L-Lactic acid, PLLA. PLLA is a biodegradable substance that has been used for decades in dissolvable stitches for wound management. When PLLA is injected into the deeper layers of your skin, it helps stimulate your skin’s own collagen production12. Sculptra® can help rejuvenate skin volume that has been lost due to aging13.

Frequently asked questions
How should I prepare before my consultation?
Before your first treatment you will have a consultation. Think through what you want to achieve and any questions that you want to ask your healthcare practitioner. You will be informed about how Sculptra® works and how it can be used safely to improve your skin’s firmness by stimulating your body’s own collagen production.
Your healthcare practitioner will also ask you about your medical history. After the consultation you should feel well-informed about Sculptra® and know what results to expect.
What should I think about when choosing a clinic?
Make sure that the clinic has a qualified practitioner(s) so that your treatment will be performed correctly. One option is to search for licensed aesthetic treatment specialists in national registries. Your treatment should be performed in a spotlessly clean medical environment that affords you privacy.
Who can inject Sculptra®?
Sculptra® treatments should only be administered by healthcare practitioners who have been trained to inject Sculptra® and are licensed to practice within Canada and your province. This may include physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and other trained personnel. Contact a qualified clinician to be assured that your Sculptra® treatment will be performed correctly.
What should I expect from my chosen healthcare practitioner?
Your healthcare practitioner should provide you with comprehensive information about how Sculptra® can stimulate the formation of collagen in a natural way and give you a detailed explanation regarding your treatment.
This is what you should expect:
• Information about the possibilities and limitations of the treatment.
• Information about possible side effects and precautions for treatment.
• Information about the cost of the treatment and follow-up treatments.
• That your questions are answered to your full satisfaction.
Which areas does Sculptra® treat?
Sculptra® should only be administered by a Sculptra® product-trained healthcare professional. Sculptra® helps to correct skin depressions, such as skin creases, wrinkles, folds, scars, and helps combat skin aging. Treatment areas may include temple hollows, cheek hollows, nasolabial folds, cheek depressions, marionette lines, chin folds/wrinkles. Talk to your healthcare professional to determine the best treatment plan for you.
How many treatments are required?
The number of treatment sessions will vary, depending on the treatment plan determined by you and your healthcare practitioner.
